I am still in Kofa National Wildlife Refuge of western Arizona area and shot this Saguaro cactus the other night. I love these beautiful ‘things’ but not enough to give it a hug.
Last night I drove into the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge to photograph the desert and mountains. I am searching for wildflowers displays and to see if anything is showing up yet. I have seen some color along the freeway, but nothing in the mountains yet and I have more areas to explore.
Here is some Cholla Cactus and the Kofa Mountains.
I had the pleasure of visiting with my friend Ben Willmore and his wife Karen Nace during their visit to Portland. They are seen here in their tour bus where they enjoy living on the road full time teaching Photoshop and photography workshops.
We hope to see them again as we to are RV’ing and photographing full time now.
We sold our lovely log cabin in the mountains and have hit the road in our RV and presently we are parked for 5 days on California’s Rincon Parkway. So i am using my iPhone and shooting what I find on a 1 mile stretch of beach.

So i thought it would be fun to use my iPhone and shoot what I found on a 1 mile stretch of beach that we walk with the dog every day and at different times. Here is today’s:
This next image is from the old Hwy 1 ‘seawall’ or whatever it is called. The old metal is rusting.
I have photographed at companies that were in the aerospace business and always thought it would be great to photograph a rocket scientist, like someone in front of the space shuttle. There are plenty out there working for the defense industry, but I never quite landed that client.
So I decided to setup my own rocket scientist and photograph them in a style looking cold war and Eastern Europe. This is my wife with a lab coat on, wearing German WWII motorcycle goggles, holding a rechargeable battery with a 20′ long yellow extension cord duct taped to it. And a 5′ model rocket ‘enhanced’ in Photoshop.
